In October 2004, heavy rain caused multimillion-dollar flood damage to the Manoa area, including Hamilton Library. Over the next 4 years about 10,000 maps were cleaned and restored; an additional 40,000 were sent for work at a mainland contractor. Hawaii 1920s and 1930s: U.S. Army Air Corps Aerial Photographs

This is a collection of over thirty aerial photographs of Hawaii in the 1920s and the 1930s taken by the U.S. Army Air Corps. They provide valuable insights into the pre-World War II landscape and scenes around the Hawaiian Islands. Maps, Aerials, and GIS (MAGIS) received the photographs from an anonymous donor in 2019.
