SAFETY FOR HONOLULU CHILDREN: Mass production of "built up" gas masks for children, regular masks with a sponge rubber lining to make them fit small faces, is will under way at Roosevelt High School, where volunteer Roosevelt students cut the rubber and where boys from McKinley High School fit the linings into regulation adult masks. Pictured are Technical Sergeant Paul H. McConnell of the chemical warfare service, in charge of the work, and assistants showing masks at various stages of the process. The mask held by Sergeant McConnel is ready to be worn.
