"This surfing area is threatened by offshore construction plans of the state of Hawaii. Please do not surf it on the afternoon of Tuesday, March 17. Instead, your support is needed at the save-our-surf demonstration at the state capitol at 4 p.m. Come as you are. One hour of your time may save this and 119 other threatened south shore sites! SOS. Two groups will walk to the Capitol commencing at 4 p.m. One leaves from McKinley High School. The other leaves from the downtown parking lot at the corner of Maunakea and Beretania streets.
