Women of the Ban Iu, or Yao ethnic group.<br><br>"BAN IU WOMEN. These women with their elaborate headdresses (white indicates a virgin) are of the nomadic Ban Iu. The Ban Iu have a maize culture. They burn off a mountainside each year, plant, harvest, and move on.
