関ヶ原の戦い敗北後の豊臣家における淀君、秀頼親子を描く物語。周囲の家臣、側近への疑心暗鬼から錯乱した淀君、淀君を止めようとする大野修理、部屋の外に控える殺傷沙汰の犠牲者珍福を口絵は描く。浄瑠璃風の読み本の形をとっていることを示すため左下で頁がめくられている。 /

Description of the kuchi-e: Lady Yodo, driven to madness by paranoia towards her retainers and close attendants, Ōno Shuri restraining her, and Chimpuku, a victim of violence, outside the door. A turned page in the lower left suggests its Jōruri storybook style.
