Description of the associated story (see Is Part Of): A story of Shinkichi, a middle school teacher in Kanazawa, who accidentally finds a home of a father and a daughter, Sakubei and Osen, living deep in a secluded mountain and spends his summer there. A year later, fleeting his own wedding, he visits them again but finds only a decaying house.
Description of the kuchi-e: A contrasting depiction of the simply living Osen and the Western-dressed Shinkichi.
