Description of the associated story (see Is Part Of): A story on the theme of rise and fall, depicting the life of Kenreimon-in, the daughter of Taira no Kiyomori and the mother of Emperor Antoku, who became a nun living quietly at Jakkō-in in Ōhara, Kyōto, after the Taira clan's defeat at the Battle of Dan'noura.
Description of the kuchi-e: A contrasting image of Kenreimon-in at the height of her glory in the bottom right, and as a nun living at Jakkō-in in the top left.
