文芸倶楽部の目次には三島蕉窓「黒木売」とあるが、口絵の印には「半古」とある。また、次号（第14巻第15号）には三島蕉窓「橋の上」が収録されている。口絵の女性は橋の上にはおらず、またその服装から黒木売ではなく高貴な女性と見られる。 /
Description of the kuchi-e: Although the table of contents of the issue lists "Kurokiuri [firewoods vendor]" by Mishima Shōsō, the seal stamp on the kuchi-e reads "Hanko." The next issue (vol. 14, no. 15) includes "Hashi no ue [On a Bridge]" by Mishima Shōsō. The woman is not on a bridge, and her clothing suggests she is a noblewoman, not a kurokiuri, or a firewood vendor, described in the title.
