McAfee (left), Director of the Women's Reserve, U.S. Naval Reserve, is shown above at U.S. Naval Air Station Honolulu, Hawaii, as she receives the traditional Hawaiian greeting of a flower lei from Lieutenant Commander Eleanor Rigby, Director of Women Accepted for Military Service (WAVES) in the 14th Naval District. Captain McAfee arrived Sunday to begin an inspection of all WAVE activities in the Islands.
