RECEIVE SILVER STAR AWARD: The Silver Star decoration was presented to these air corps officers and enlisted men at Hickam field Thursday for gallantry in the December 7 attack on Oahu. One hundred and one others received the Purple Heart decoration. Silver Star recipients, left to right, front row: Lt. Col. Gordon A. Blake, Capt. Frederick O. Hallor, Sergeant Rueben A. Carr, Sergeant Robert J. Haessley, Technical Sergeant Jack O. Ehrke, Private First Class Joseph P. Miszczuk. Back row, Second Lt. Loren A. Stoddard, Technical Sergeant Bonnie V. Nabors, Private First Class Paul Mucha, Staff Sergent Charles R. Middaugh and Warrent Officer Anthony A. Albino. Not in the picture, Technical Sergents Sidney C. Howe and Wilburn K. Hunt.
