Richardson, commanding general, Army Forces, Middle Pacific, at the ceremonies held in Honolulu Stadium upon release of the Organized Defense Volunteer regiments of Oahu from military control, 4 July 1945. Field Director Mrs. Marjorie S. Breffeilh, commanding officer of the WAVC may be seen on the left reviewing her unit with General Richardson and colonels of the other participating ODV regiments of the island. Mrs. Gayle B. Groo, First Officer of the WAVC, leads unit. Marching at the head of the ranks is Mrs. Kaaha O. Medeiros, Second Officer.
