From back of print: Navy Yard Musician - Shown above is John Motto, a machinist at Pearl Harbor Navy Yard, who is conductor and chief arranger for the Pearl Harbor musical revue, "Waikiki Diary," which opens January 25th at Roosevelt High School Auditorium. Pictured at work on some of the music for the show, Mr. Motto says the tunes for the all-original production are outstanding and may become national favorites. They were written by Lieutenant (junior grade) David Hughes, U.S. Naval Reserve, who is stationed at the Navy Yard.
