BUY BONDS . . . FOR NATIONAL DEFENSE: Osuke Shigemoto, president of the Japanese Contractors' Association of Honolulu, second from the left, has announced the association will apply to the purchase of U.S. defense savings bonds the $1,000 which the 100 members normally spend on their annual picnic. The employes of the group also will be asked to buy bonds on a salary allotment plan. He is shown confering with defense bond officials. Left to right, John Snell, deputy administrator of the defense bond staff; Mr. Shigemoto, THomas B. Kamioka, deputy city-county clerk, acting as interpreter, and Fred H.
