HERE TO HELP: Four medical social workers and one field director who arrived here recently from the mainland to augment the military and naval service of the American Red Cross. Front row, left to right--Miss Evadne M. Laptad who has been working in an army hospital at Springfield Mo.; Miss Eva Hagan, formerly with the Tennessee department of health; Miss Ruth M. Unkles, former social worker at the University of Pennsylvania hospital. Back row--Field Director Allen C. Wilson, formerly connected with the veteran's hospital in Chicago, and Mrs. Eleanor O. Chopard, formerly agent on Hawaii for the territorial department of public welfare. The four ladies will work in local military and naval hospitals while Mr. Wilson will assist in the able bodied section of military and naval welfare service of the Red Cross.
