Miss Carolyn Wong and Records ISLES MAKE HISTORY IN FINGERPRINTING FIELD Hawaii is making history these days in many ways and one of them is in the field of fingerprinting and civilian registration. At civilian defense corps headquarters at Kaahumanu school, scores of men and women are becoming adept in fingerprint classification and indexing. And if one wonders what happens to old shoe boxes, he should visit the registration division. About 1,000 alphabetical index cards can be filed in each box. When one considers that 320,000 of these cards are on file and that more are yet to be filed, one gets an idea of the magnitude of this phase of the division's work.
