NIPPON AIDS RUBBER DRIVE: Nippon-made scrap rubber that will help Uncle Sam sink the rising sun was donated today by 1st Lt. William J. Edwards, ordance department, USA, to Hawaii's rubber salvage drive. Lt. Edwards, who is from Winston-Salem, N.C., is pictured here with a Japanese rubber life raft salvaged by army ordnance personnel after the December 7 attack. The raft will be sent to the Ala Moana "rubber mountain."
