Description

Let's help Mokauea fishermen rebuild their village and fishpond!

An island home to conserve and shore the goodness of land and sea! A Hawaiian lifestyle fishing village with food gardens and a fishpond! Power from sun and wind! Best of all, a community that's got it together! Remember when their homes were in flames? They've struggled ahead and won a 65-year lease of the island, to preserve the best of a centuries-old heritage.

Now they need our help -- to rebuild their village, put up a community hall-museum, a wildlife lookout, sponsor a canoe club, and more. The fishpond will combine skills with modern scientific research. The village will be a living example of uplift, of aloha 'aina, self reliance and kokua -- an educational reserouce for visiting school and community groups!

For these good things to happen, we ask you to share some things you may have and don't need, or can loan, including: tools, Lumber & materials (used or new), machines.

Please call us at 524-0884, leave your number, we will call you for arrangements.
