Kaizawa 1-105: Kabuki actor - Nakamura, Moshiho IV, 中村, もしほ 4世 (later: Nakamura, Kanzaburo XVII 中村, 勘三郎 17世) as Hachiemon 八右衛門 in Koi no tayori yamato orai 恋飛脚大和往来

Some expert believes that this picture is Moshiho acting as Hachiemon. However, this information cannot be verified by the reference sources such as the Haiyaku Soran. In addition, his costume in the image matches the one that Chubi, the main character of the same play, wears. Moshiho did not play this role, either.

The date of the photo was chosen based on the fact that Nakamura, Shikan VI, 中村, 芝翫 6世 played in the same play, Koi no tayori yamato orai, in both 1948 and 1949. Photo can be seen in 1-121.
