椀久と呼ばれる茶碗屋の主・久兵衛が遊女・太夫松山（お葉）におぼれ破滅する物語。第二部で久兵衛はお葉と結ばれるも、自分のせいでお葉の父が処刑されたと聞き発狂。左に松山、右にその父・青山幸右衛門が窯の前に立つ姿を異時同画法で描く。 /
Description of the associated story (see Is Part Of): A story of Kyūbei, a teacup shop owner called "Wankyū," whose obsession with the courtesan Matsuyama (O-Yō) leads to his ruin. In Part 2, he goes mad upon discovering his actions has led to O-Yō's father's execution.
