A surrealistic scene of a figure with outstretched arms; a cone-shaped tree in the left hand, a curtain being held back with the right. Flying birds, a framed picture of planets, an hourglass, and three smaller figures fill the composition. Black ink on paper. The initials "I.D." are printed in the image, lower left. Signed and dated "Isami Doi '46" in pencil below the image. The print is mounted to the inside of a plain folded paper card, opposite the note: "To the Blakes, With my very best wishes for the new year. Isami" in pencil.
