Ms. Maxey's name spelling is uncertain; Ned Daly, Margo Duggan's nephew and donor of this collection, believes that this is the correct transcription based on his many years' experience with her handwriting. (See also image #1050.) It is uncertain what "JPW" in caption indicates. There are four photos in the collection that include this abbreviation, with reference numbers 1048, 1076, 1077 and 1078. In certain of these captions, the "J" could also be interpreted to be an "L."
