Hawaiian Music Collection - Waikiki Stone-Wall Boys: Group Biography

The Waikiki Stone-Wall Boys were a popular broadcasting group on island radio in the late 1920s. The complete line-up is unknown but did included ukulele and bass singer Hiram Anahu. The Waikiki stone-wall was a popular venue, together with the pier that used to exist outside the Moana Hotel, for informal evening concerts by Waikiki's famous and talented beach boys, and it is from this pool of musicians that this recording group was drawn.

Information from the liner notes of the CD "On the Beach at Waikiki (1914-1952)", 1994.
