遠藤とお六という男女がお蝶という名の女性を連れ去ろうとしていることを偶然知った主人公・大石武雄は、使命感にかられ彼女を救おうと思い立ち行動するも、結局お蝶は金に目がくらんだ父親に売られ醜業婦として海外へ送られてしまう。口絵はお蝶の父・五左衛門がお蝶を売ることでお六から得た金を懐へ入れる場面。 /
Description of the associated story (see Is Part Of): The protagonist, Ōishi Takeo, accidentally overhears that two people, Endō and Oroku, are planning to kidnap a woman named Ochō. Spurred by a sense of duty, he decides to rescue her, but in the end, Ochō is sold to a man by her greedy father and sent overseas as a prostitute.
Description of the kuchi-e: the scene where Ochō's father, Gozaemon, puts the money he received from Oroku into his pocket after selling his daughter.
