This unique collection contains over 50,000 photographs and 2,000 slides that document the history of the American period in Micronesia (1947-1988) and includes valuable representations of island cultures. Many of the photographs have been digitized and appear on the UH Library's web site. This Palauan bai was constructed at the Belau National Museum in Koror. The beam decoration depicts the legendary "money bird."
