Henry Percy Edmunds was the manager of the Williamson Balfour interests from 1904 to 1929. Aside from running the ranch, his only other interest was photography, which he took up in 1911 after a visit to Chile, where he acquired his first camera. It was a device that used glass plates, which Edmunds developed and printed himself on Easter Island. Many of these glass plates are at the Bishop Museum in Honolulu, Hawai´i.
